Aims and Scope

Journal Aims

Ḍād: Journal of Arabic Linguistics and Literature aims to promote rigorous scholarly research in the fields of Arabic language, its related sciences, Arabic linguistics, and Arabic literature. The journal provides an academic platform for contemporary linguistic studies, supports the teaching and learning of Arabic for both native and non-native speakers, encourages comparative studies between Arabic and other languages, and fosters openness to modern scientific methodologies and interdisciplinary approaches in linguistic and literary research.

Scope and Subfields

The journal welcomes research and academic studies that fall within, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Arabic grammar and morphology

  • Classical Arabic literature

  • Modern and contemporary Arabic literature

  • Comparative literature (especially Arabic–Turkish and Arabic–Western studies)

  • Theoretical and applied linguistics

  • Sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and interdisciplinary linguistic studies

  • Semantics, phonetics, morphology, syntax, and sentence structure

  • Discourse analysis and text linguistics

  • Teaching Arabic to native and non-native speakers

  • Translation studies (Arabic–Turkish / Arabic–English)

  • Lexicography and dictionary studies

  • Qurʾanic language and Islamic linguistics

  • Digital transformation and technologies in Arabic language teaching

  • Philosophy of language and semiotic approaches

Types of Contributions

The journal publishes the following types of scholarly contributions:

  • Original research articles

  • Conference and symposium papers

  • Scholarly opinion articles

  • Academic translations accompanied by analytical commentary

  • Book reviews

  • Scientific reports on academic events or linguistic research projects

  • Innovative methodological or conceptual studies

Note on Peer Review

All original research articles published in the journal are subject to the journal’s peer-review policy.
Book reviews, selected parts of academic theses, and scientific reports are subject to editorial review by the editorial board and are not externally peer reviewed.

تهدف ضاد: مجلة لسانيات العربية وآدابها إلى:

  • تعزيز البحث العلمي الرصين في ميدان اللغة العربية وعلومها وآدابها.

  • توفير منبر أكاديمي لنشر الدراسات اللسانية العربية المعاصرة.

  • دعم تعليم اللغة العربية وتيسير طرائق تدريسها للناطقين بها وغير الناطقين بها.

  • تشجيع الدراسات المقارنة بين اللغة العربية واللغات الأخرى.

  • ترسيخ الانفتاح على المناهج العلمية الحديثة والتكامل بين التخصصات اللغوية والأدبية.

تستقبل المجلة الأبحاث والدراسات التي تندرج ضمن نطاق التخصصات الآتية، على سبيل المثال لا الحصر:

  • النحو العربي والصرف

  • الأدب العربي القديم

  • الأدب العربي الحديث والمعاصر

  • الأدب المقارن (ولا سيما العربي–التركي والعربي–الغربي)

  • اللسانيات النظرية والتطبيقية

  • السوسيولسانيات، والسيكولسانيات، والدراسات اللسانية البينية

  • علم الدلالة، وعلم الأصوات، والصرف، والنحو، والتراكيب

  • تحليل الخطاب واللسانيات النصية

  • تعليم اللغة العربية للناطقين بها ولغير الناطقين بها

  • دراسات الترجمة (العربية–التركية / العربية–الإنجليزية)

  • الصناعة المعجمية والدراسات المعجمية

  • لغة القرآن واللسانيات الإسلامية

  • تقنيات تعليم اللغة العربية والتحول الرقمي في تعليمها

  • فلسفة اللغة والمقاربات السيميائية

أنواع المساهمات المنشورة

تنشر المجلة الأنواع الآتية من المساهمات العلمية:

  • مقالات بحثية أصيلة

  • أوراق علمية مقدَّمة في الندوات والمؤتمرات

  • مقالات الرأي العلمي

  • ترجمات علمية مصحوبة بتعليقات تحليلية

  • مراجعات كتب

  • تقارير علمية حول لقاءات أكاديمية أو مشروعات لغوية

  • دراسات منهجية أو مفاهيمية مبتكرة

ملاحظة حول التحكيم

تخضع كافة المقالات البحثية الأصيلة لسياسة التحكيم العلمي المعتمدة في المجلة.

أما مراجعات الكتب، والأجزاء المختارة من الرسائل العلمية، والتقارير العلمية، فتخضع للفحص التحريري من قبل هيئة التحرير دون إخضاعها لتحكيم علمي خارجي كامل.
