Peer Review
Peer Review Policy
Ḍād: Journal of Arabic Linguistics and Literature applies a double-blind peer review process to all original research articles and scholarly studies submitted for publication, ensuring integrity, objectivity, and independence throughout the review process.
Book notices, book reviews, scientific reports, and selected extracts from master’s and doctoral theses are not subject to external peer review. These materials undergo editorial screening and academic assessment by the editorial board in accordance with the journal’s established scholarly standards.
Review Process
Manuscripts subject to peer review proceed through the following stages:

Initial Editorial Screening
The editorial board assesses the submission to ensure:-
alignment with the journal’s aims and scope,

compliance with technical and methodological requirements,

originality and adherence to the journal’s plagiarism policy.

Peer Review Assignment
Submissions that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. -
Review Reports
Reviewers provide detailed reports addressing:-
originality and scholarly contribution,

methodological rigor and analysis,
-
clarity of language and presentation,
-
a clear recommendation (accept, revise, resubmit, or reject).

Editorial Decision
The final decision is made by the editorial board based on reviewers’ reports. Authors are notified of the decision and provided with reviewers’ comments within a maximum period of 30 days from the date of submission. -
Revisions and Follow-up
When revisions are required, authors are given a specified timeframe to submit the revised manuscript. Revised submissions may be sent for additional review when necessary.
All manuscripts are handled confidentially, and the peer review process follows internationally recognized academic and ethical standards.
