Abstract

The concept of discourse has received great interest among modern
scholars, especially after the appearance of Ferdinand de Saussure's book
"Course in General Linguistics". As for our arabic references, we see that
the study of the concept of discourse has an ancient history. However, our
scholars have paid great attention to the discourses. Therefore, the linguists
and the Principles of Islamic jurisprudence scholars have studied the
discourse . This article studies the opinion of one of the Arab scholars kadı Abdul-
Jabbar about the Qur’an discourse in many aspects, such as the types of this
discourse, the levels at which it was revealed, and the tools that must be
found for those who want to interpret the Qur’an
