The structural approach in the poem "El mawakib" of the poet Gibran Khalil Gibran

Abstract

This study aims at investing structural analysis levels in "almawakib" of Jibran Khalil Jibran. Some of these levels have often been omiited in the majority of the literary studies found. May be because of the difficulty or lack of awareness. Especially in poem rather than prose.  In this regard. This study analyses the semantic structure of "almawakib" which contains two meanings . The first of these is direct and semantically clear. The second is indirect. It can be reached only through concerting structural analysis levels. In order to show its hidden significance and aesthetics connotations starting with: phonological structure, lexical, morphological, grammatical,semantic, anecdotal, and symbolic ones. And their interrelation among them which produces a complete literary structure showing the beauty of the poem from inside through a network of linguistic relationships. Which arise between its words. and arrange its structure to reveal the poet's philosophical intention which hides behind its linguistic surface reduced to quotes, sounds, symbolic representations which indicate the conflict btween reality and nature..
