Abstract

Arabic literature, especially linguistic and morphological research, has an important role in understanding and correct interpretation of the Holy Quran. Therefore, commentators have benefited from it in their interpretation of different views, including al-Baydavi, in their valuable commentaries. This article provides the extraction of al-Baydawi's literary views in the first part of the Holy Quran and tries to answer the following questions: What are the literary views in Beydâvî's Tafsir that affect the understanding and interpretation of the verses of the Quran and he in terms of literary interpretation Which sect is it? We conclude that al-Baydavi was subordinate to al-Zamakhshari in his literary views and did not distinguish linguistic, morphological, grammatical and rhetorical views and contents as some commentators do. Al-Baydavi was not a member of the Kufa school of grammar, as people thought. Moreover, he chose the view he was convinced of, without adhering to any sectarian school..
